MEDICAL CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION

MediMental Care is distinguished by its strong links to academic research and physician-based medicine. Our organizational CEO was the recipient of 12 years of medical training in fellowship with physicians, received appointment to the medical staffs of 2 hospital systems and the adjunct faculty of a world-renowned medical school, and has been a medical author and academic instructor of physicians and surgeons since 2006. It is to her medical mentors that Dr. Parker owes a debt of gratitude, for the exceptional training which, years later, continues to be reflected in her clinical practice at MediMental Care.

As clinical and forensic traumatologists, we at MediMental Care represent the highly specialized “bridge discipline” which spans the conceptual divide between clinical psychology and biomedical and neurophysiology. As such, we have a continuing responsibility to learn from disciplinary experts on both sides of that clinical expanse.

In that clinical tradition, MediMental Care is the only traumatological practice in the nation which maintains high standards for staff members’ regular receipt of not only mental health education, but continuing medical instruction as well. We are deeply grateful to our MediMental Care Consulting Physician, as well as the eminent doctors on our Medical Advisory board, who impart their consultation and instruction to our clinical professionals on an ongoing basis through our own, in-house MediMental Care Academy. In doing so, they help us to maintain the highest professional standards of continuing education in both behavioral and biomedical sciences.
